Willunga Farmers Market are delighted to welcome Tim Marshall to Willunga.
On Friday 6th July Tim will host an information session regarding Organic Certification at the Willunga Hub (corner St Peters Tce and Main Road, Willunga) starting at 6pm.
On Saturday, 7 July Tim will join us in the Market for a workshop focussed on Organic Pest Control in your garden from 10.30am til 11.15am.
Who is Tim Marshall?
Tim has been involved in organic standards writing and certification for 35 plus years.
His industry experience includes:
Co-founder and first Chairperson of NASAA, Australia’s first certification body.
First Organic Guarantee Systems Co-ordinator for IFOAM, the international peak body of the organic industry.
Member of all the major standards setting bodies in Australia over the last 30 years.
The main author of numerous certification standards and guidebooks.
The deputy Chair of Organic Federation of Australia for most of the 2000 decade.
Tim has visited at least 4500 organic farms (or farms in conversion to organic) in Australia and more than 30 other countries.
Tim Marshall founded TM Organics Pty Ltd in 2006. TM Organics was the main organic consulting and training company in the Asia-pacific region until 2015 and provided formal conversion training for approximately 450 producers and consulting advice for about another 75 (in Australia). Tim has also help hundreds of farmers in Samoa, New Guinea, Vietnam, and Thailand to convert to organic.
Tim is the author of 4 solo books and has contributed to many others and has written many training manuals and more than 2,000 newspaper and magazine articles.
