WFM is located on the traditional lands of the Kaurna people. We pay our respect to Elders past and present, and recognise and respect their cultural heritage, beliefs and relationship with the land.
Today during National Reconciliation Week we acknowledge that now is the time for all Australians to learn about our shared histories, cultures, and achievements, and to explore how each of us can contribute to achieving reconciliation in Australia – ‘Now More Than Ever’.
This Saturday marks the first day of Winter. As the seasons change, we bid farewell to some favorites for a while (only a few more weeks of strawberries!). However, we also welcome in winter produce, like these amazing Kiwis! One of the best aspects of a farmers market is enjoying truly seasonal food. Eating seasonally not only ensures fresher, more flavourful produce but also provides numerous health benefits. Let’s celebrate the seasonal change and the cozy, warming dishes and produce that Winter brings this week at WFM! Kiwi goodness can be found at Pomology at Tarrawood! We’ve been told these Kiwi’s are delicious and sweet – and we are so excited to try!🥝
We have more news to share! What’s even better than buying fresh local potatoes at the market? Having them cooked for you! Meadow to Plate has recently begun offering their delicious, smashed potatoes to customers, just in time for the cooler winter weather. Topped with sour cream and sweet chilli/tomato sauce, it doesn’t get more farm-fresh than that😋
Lastly do you follow us on Facebook & Instagram? If not get onboard now – we regularly update our Market community through these channels during the week, and we also run some epic market giveaways through there too!
