Embracing the extra day of this leap year week as we leap into a new season!

It is the first market of Autumn, and we are excited to start seeing a change in seasonal produce available at the market particularly over the next month. You’ll start noticing pumpkin, beetroot and carrots pop up over the Autumn months.

We believe life’s simplest joy is bread! But do you know the difference between your average bread and long fermented sourdough? Well we’ve been researching, and we’d love to share just SOME of the health benefits! Sourdough is low GI (therefore a better option for people with diabetes or eating low carb), high in fibre, contains micro-nutrients manganese, selenium, calcium, phosphorous, and iron, AND has been found to produce good gut bacteria. Sourdough bread is actually also lower in gluten than other forms of bread and available from both of our bread stalls – Basket Range Baker and Riviera Bakery. (If you’re after a completely GF option Riviera have a range of GF breads that are Coeliac friendly too).

🐶 A friendly reminder that pet dogs are not allowed in the general Market area – the lawned space near the northern entry of the Market is a dog friendly space.  Seating and drinking water available. 🐶 Please respect our staff and volunteers at all times.
